The M34 F8 Date features a traditional design comprising of three centre hands of hour, minute and seconds, a date display at 3 o’clock, and Orient Star’s signature power reserve indicator at 12 o’clock.
 
This model features intricate stamped patterns inspired by the Perseid meteor shower as seen in the earlier blue dial model. Enhanced with optical multilayer film technology, the design allows the colours and patterns to shift beautifully depending on the viewing angle. This in-house developed optical multilayer technology creates colour tone effects on the metal plate by layering nano level, near-transparent films that control the reflectance and transmittance of light. With this technology, it is possible to express the deep outer space, which would not be possible with normal painted dials.
